Schwenk Technology Group, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Merx mobile application and the website at https://getmerx.app. This policy describes our data practices for both.

The short version: the Merx app collects no personal data. Your gameplay stays on your device. The only data that leaves your device is an anonymous purchase record used to validate your one-time purchase.

The Merx Application

Merx does not collect personal information or gameplay data. The application maintains no user accounts, no gameplay telemetry, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no in-game metrics of any kind. All game data — your progress, scores, and saved state — resides entirely on your device and is under your sole control.

We designed Merx this way deliberately. No server on our end receives your gameplay data.

Purchase Validation (RevenueCat)

Merx uses RevenueCat to validate your one-time purchase and confirm your entitlement to use the App. To do this, RevenueCat receives your purchase history from Apple or Google and links it to an anonymous device identifier — not your name, email address, or any other personal information. This data is used solely to confirm that your purchase is valid and to unlock the App's features.

RevenueCat stores this data on servers in the United States. For details, see RevenueCat's Privacy Policy. To request deletion of your RevenueCat purchase record, contact us at [email protected] and we will process the deletion on your behalf.

Apple Game Center and Google Play Games

Merx integrates with Apple Game Center (iOS) and Google Play Games (Android) for leaderboard and achievement features. If you use these features, Apple and Google collect and process data according to their own privacy policies. We do not receive, access, or store any data from these integrations. Please review Apple's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle your information.

Children Under 13

Merx is rated for users 12 and older. Because some users in this age group may be under 13, we note that the app itself collects no personal information from any user, including children under 13. Game Center and Google Play Games interactions are governed by Apple's and Google's own policies, which include parental consent mechanisms. We encourage parents and guardians to review those policies.

The Merx Website (getmerx.app)

Our website is static and informational. We do not operate a contact form, mailing list, or account system on the website.

Analytics

We use third-party analytics tools (such as Google Analytics or Plausible) to understand how visitors find and navigate getmerx.app. This may involve the collection of aggregated, non-personally-identifying data such as page views, referral sources, device type, and approximate geographic region. This data is used solely to improve the website and is not linked to individual identities.

If you prefer not to be tracked via Google Analytics, you may install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On.

Server Logs

Our web hosting provider may automatically log standard request data, including your IP address, browser type, referring URL, and the time and date of your visit. This data is retained only as long as necessary for security and operational purposes and is not used to identify individual visitors.

Cookies

Analytics tools may place cookies on your device to distinguish visits. You may configure your browser to refuse cookies; this will not affect your ability to use the Merx app.

No Sale of Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade any personal information to third parties. Because the Merx app collects no data, there is nothing from your gameplay to sell or share.

The website or app may contain links to third-party services such as the App Store or Google Play. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those services and encourage you to review their policies before interacting with them.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app or website after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
